Muncaster Cottages
Within our portfolio we have 3 large, fully refurbished holiday homes
Knott View, Newtown House and Herbert House
Two of the properties are just outside the village of Ravenglass and have far-reaching views across to the Isle of Man (on a clear day!) with extensive gardens the two houses are connected and can be made into a single property via adjoining doors these will then sleep up to 20 people. Separately Newtown House will sleep 8 and Knott View will sleep 12. The properties are in a rural area and down a private road (unsuitable for very low vehicles) normal cars are fine, but due to their locations there is no WIFI available in the properties and mobile signal can be sparse which allows guests to completely switch off from busy lives.
Herbert House has five bedrooms and is next door to the Pennington Hotel in the village of Ravenglass, this lovely property can sleep up to 10 people
Our holiday cottages are managed day to day by the Pennington Hotel and check-in and key pick up is with them for which you will receive full instructions

Knott View
Period 6-bedroom semi-detached property, Knott View is set just outside of the village of Ravenglass, with picturesque estuary views.
Coachman's Quarters at Muncaster Castle
The Coachman’s Quarters is available for larger groups (up to 34 people) to book exclusively for self-catering breaks of 2 nights or more. With its large communal lounge, kitchen and dining room, it’s the perfect location for a Lake District escape with family and friends and the dogs can come too.
There are ten bedrooms available (34 beds) including nine rooms with en-suite facilities.
Glamping Bell Tents
Our Glamping Bell Tents are located in the Castle Gardens and have showers, and toilets and can sleep up to 4 people, We provide a picnic table, light, and fire pit. For additional charges, we can provide bed linen, extra firewood and cooking items.
Our Bell Tents have a minimum 2-night stay.
