Looking for something different? Why not stay at our welcoming self-catering accommodation within the Coachman’s Quarters for Muncaster Castle, located in the old stable block and set in the gardens close to the Hawk and Owl Centre.

We have 9 traditional en-suite bedrooms accommodating between 1 to 4 people in different types of rooms, doubles, twins or family rooms.

We also have a Bunk Room – with bunk beds made of Muncaster wood which will sleep 6, this room has a separate bathroom just across the hallway for your sole use, great for groups looking for a base whilst exploring the area or just to enjoy our spectacular castle and gardens

All the bedrooms have free Wi-Fi, TV and tea and coffee-making facilities, and all bed linen and towels are provided.

Inside the Coachman’s Quarters, there is a well-equipped kitchen for our guests to cater for themselves, with everything you could need.

There is a large dining space with plenty of room for everyone and a comfortable communal lounge where there are games and a big TV for entertainment.

Our Bell Tents have showers, and toilets and can sleep up to 4 people, we provide a picnic table, light, and fire pit we can for additional charges provide linen, extra firewood and cooking items. Our Bell Tents have a minimum 2-night stay.

We have our StableYard café which is open daily where we serve breakfast items and coffee. The Café also offers meals and snacks throughout the day where you can purchase refreshments

Our four-legged friends are welcome in the Coachman’s Quarters and there is an additional charge of £10.00 per dog per night with a maximum of 2 dogs in a room, all we ask is they are kept under control, on a lead at all times in the public areas and not left alone in the room.

A stay at the Coachman’s Quarters at Muncaster offers that little bit extra with access to the beautiful gardens, Hawk & Owl Centre, and the spectacular bird flying displays. To enter the historic castle itself there is a supplement charge payable at the castle. Our lucky guests also get the opportunity to enjoy our special gardens with amazing views once all other guests have gone home.
